NEC announces new solution for retail stores worldwide

NEC Corporation has announced a new solution for retail shops, such as convenience stores and drug stores, throughout international markets.
The IT and networking integrator said its solution provides a comprehensive range of system coverage for both retail stores and company headquarters.
This solution covers the whole gamut of retail store solutions, such as headquarter solutions, POS (point of sale) systems and back office store systems, as well as order, inspection and inventory systems using portable terminals.
NEC said these systems can be flexibly introduced by retailers in separate stages. For example, a store may initially deploy POS systems, portable terminals and back office store systems independently, and then later introduce additional systems to both retail locations and company headquarters as needed.
According to the solutions provider, systems can also be easily adapted for international markets, including the tax systems, currencies and other specifications that are best suited for regional demands.
